The Board of Financial Control and sound financial Management

The Board of Financial Control and sound financial Management is responsible for the following tasks:

• acting as a supervisory body, in particular to inspect the management accounts of accounting officers and economic and commercial attachés,
• to inspect the subsidies awarded within the framework of the European Regional Development Fund as a certification authority
• and finally, to control sound financial management, including the inspection of regional subsidies.

Within the framework of the schemes for regional cooperation, the board is also part of the European Group of Auditors for auditing those projects that are financed by the programmes INTERREG, BIAACT, INTERACT and ESPON.
