The regional SAP platform
The regional SAP platform, SAP.brussels, is a tool for general, analytical and budgetary accounts. It is made available to all autonomous governmental bodies (AGBs) of the Brussels-Capital Region that wish to make use of it. This platform allows integrating the general and budgetary accounts, linked to a cost reduction for the AGBs, facilitates the compliance with the OOBBC and enables the consolidation of the accounts of the institutions of the regional entity.
Within SAP.brussels each entity is considered a company of the same group. This gives each entity full autonomy of accounting and budget management while enabling the consolidation of accounts of the different entities directly from SAP.
As the name indicates, this tool was developed on the basis of the ERP application SAP, which leaves open the possibility of developing common solutions for the regional institutions in the future.
